Auriga's Device Modeling Services
Auriga is dedicated to providing leading-edge modeling services that increase the probability of achieving “one-pass” success for its customers. With more than 75 years of modeling experience, Auriga offers superior device models and guidance that help modelers and designers shorten their time to delivery for accurate microwave devices. Innovative, yet practical modeling for GaAs, GaN, InP, SiGe, HEMT (pseudomorphic and metamorphic), LDMOS, and HBT is done in Auriga’s state-of-the-art lab. Hands-on modeling expertise allows Auriga to fully understand the required device operation and then develop a solution for accurate and flexible device modeling.
Auriga’s modeling team has developed sophisticated algorithms for generating active device models. Auriga models support popular EDA software (including Agilent ADS and Microwave Office) and are provided in a user-friendly pull-down menu format. The use of Pulsed IV and load-pull measurements ensures accurate models for compound semiconductor devices, intended for both CW and non-CW operation.
Auriga is capable of providing a wide range of standard and custom measurements in-house for both the small and large signal characterization of modules and MMIC chips using an on-wafer probe station. Standard sample measurements include:
- Small signal and noise parameter measurement
- Large signal measurement, including single tone and multi-tones
- Distortion measurement using modulated signals, such as CDMA
- Temperature forcing
Auriga's project involvement may include:
- Noise modeling
- Small signal 0-50GHz
- Noise parameter extraction
- Small signal modeling
- Large signal modeling
- Auriga’s original MESFET/PHEMT models
- HBT, BJT, LDMOS
- GaAs, InP, GaN, SiGe

Partner with a dedicated team.
As with all project engagements, Auriga looks to partner with a customer – acting as a member of the customer’s design or modeling team. Auriga’s modeling team works hand-and-hand with a customer to define the scope of the project – suggesting all possible paths to success, recommending allocation of tasks, setting timeframe and deliverable expectations, and post model-installation follow-up and consultation. Auriga’s involvement does not end the day a model is delivered – Auriga is committed to delivering a solution that is easy-to-use and makes an immediate impact in the success of every customer’s modeling project.
